I had a pretty decent stay at The Ven At Embassy Row. The staff was super friendly and went above and beyond to help me out, especially when I had some issues with my room. The location is fantastic for exploring D.C., but I did run into a few hiccups, like the check-in process being a bit rough and needing to switch rooms due to cleanliness issues. Overall, I'd say it was a solid experience, with the pros outweighing the cons.

Rooms
7.0
I found the rooms to be comfortable and mostly clean, but my first room had some cleanliness issues which were frustrating. The second room was much better, though smaller than what I'm used to. The air conditioning worked fine, but the space felt a bit cramped at times.
Service
9.0
The staff really stood out for me. Especially Fassil, who helped me carry my bags and even found something I left behind. Lyle was also great when I needed help sorting out some charges. They were patient and professional, which made my stay much more enjoyable despite some initial hiccups.
Location

The hotel’s location near Dupont Circle was perfect. I had easy access to the metro for exploring the city and lots of great dining options around. It was really nice to have everything I needed within walking distance.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was decent, but I did have some confusion with my vouchers. Sometimes it felt like a hassle. I also enjoyed hanging out in the bar area, though the staff there could’ve been a little more engaging when I visited.
Facilities

The rooftop pool was a nice touch, and I loved the cozy lobby vibe. They had great amenities like coffee in the room, which is becoming rarer these days, and the gym was well-equipped. However, I did notice some cleanliness issues around the pool area.

I recently stayed at The Ven At Embassy Row, and while I was excited about the location and amenities, I encountered significant issues during my visit. The hotel had a welcoming lobby, but my room left much to be desired in terms of cleanliness and maintenance. Overall, my experience was marred by service inconsistencies, lack of attention to detail, and discomfort due to cleanliness concerns.

Rooms
5.0
My room was small and faced the interior of the hotel, giving it a cramped feel with missing carpet patches and a generally worn appearance. I also noticed dirt and grime in the bathroom that made my stay uncomfortable.
Service
5.0
The service was hit or miss; while some staff were friendly, I often felt like I had to argue to get basic requests met, and the communication from the front desk could be quite confusing.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location was excellent, just a short walk from Dupont Circle with plenty of dining options nearby. It was an ideal base for exploring the city's attractions.
Dining
5.0
I found the dining options on-site to be quite disappointing and overpriced compared to local alternatives. My experiences with the breakfast included confusion over meal vouchers that added to the frustration.
Facilities
6.0
While the rooftop pool was a nice feature, its cleanliness felt lacking, and the common areas were clean. However, the condition of the gym and playroom was also subpar. Overall, the amenities didn't match the boutique hotel's expectations.

5.8/10

I had high hopes for my stay at The Ven At Embassy Row, given its reputation and my friend's recommendation. The decoration was inviting, and the location near Dupont Circle was a significant plus. However, I faced multiple issues with housekeeping and room cleanliness, which overshadowed the positives. I was disappointed with the service response times and the lack of follow-through on maintenance requests, dampening what could have been a great experience.

Rooms
5.0
The room was comfortable and nicely decorated, but I encountered issues with cleanliness and maintenance, particularly with stains on the bedding. Despite these concerns, the room had a cozy feel.
Service
5.0
I found the service somewhat lacking, particularly in responsiveness. Text requests led to long wait times before being addressed, and I felt inadequately supported during my stay. There were times when I struggled to get a hold of someone to resolve issues.
Location
8.0
The location was fantastic, right near Dupont Circle and plenty of dining options. It made exploring the city incredibly convenient, which I really appreciated.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast options were more limited than I expected, but I did enjoy my oatmeal. Still, it wasn't on the level of other hotel breakfasts I’ve experienced, which left me wanting more variety and quality.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel offered decent amenities, including a rooftop pool and gym. However, I encountered issues with the in-room facilities, such as a lack of functional power outlets and no fridge for medication storage.

I had a decent stay at The Ven At Embassy Row, but it wasn't without its issues. The location near Dupont Circle is fantastic, with plenty of restaurants just a short walk away. However, my room had cleanliness concerns, which detracted from the overall experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, which added a positive touch to my visit.

The hotel's location was truly excellent, just a block from the metro and surrounded by great dining options. I loved being in a vibrant neighborhood that made exploring easy.
Dining

While I enjoyed some amenities like complimentary snacks in the lobby, the breakfast selection wasn't as impressive as I had hoped. I ended up opting for food outside the hotel.

The rooftop pool was a nice feature and had lovely views, but I found some areas like the gym a bit odd and lacking in natural light. Overall, it felt more functional than inviting.

While the hotel boasts a fantastic location near Dupont Circle and has some great staff who provided excellent service, I faced multiple issues with cleanliness and room amenities during my visit. The rooftop pool was a highlight, but the overall experience left me feeling disappointed, especially given the price point I paid. 🏨
